Zoning amendments, give your $0.02

The City is undertaking a review of more than 30 zoning reviews to ensure that the Zoning By-law is consistent with the policies of the Official Plan (approved by Council in November 2013).

The reviews will focus on implementing new policies of the Official Plan that specify minimum and maximum building heights, minimum densities and that permit a broad range of land use. The reviews will result in adjustments to existing zones, and for some properties, a change to a new zone.

In some of the Zoning Review Areas, zoning for heights, densities and land use has already been implemented through prior studies such as Community Design Plans, Secondary Plans and the six recent Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Plans.

Preliminary results of the Zoning Reviews will be available for comment at upcoming information sessions. For more information check out the City website ottawa.ca/zoningreview.
